Build the quiet path to production
We are a small, remote-first team building feature flags that live on the edge. We do not have anything open at the moment, but this is where new roles show up first. Here is how we work, so you know whether it is a fit before one does.
What we care about
These are the things we keep coming back to. They shape how we build, and how we treat the people who depend on us.
Someone's shipping on this
Every evaluation we serve is a team trusting us with their release. That trust takes a long time to earn and it disappears fast, so we treat other people’s production as carefully as our own. When something breaks, we say so and fix it before we explain it away.
A few things, done well
We are small on purpose and plan to stay that way for a while. That means saying no to most ideas so the handful we take on are genuinely good. We do not build a feature just because a competitor has it. We build the ones our customers actually reach for.
Honest beats impressive
We tell you what we do not do yet, in the docs and on the call, before you find out the hard way. We would rather lose a deal than oversell one. It works the same among ourselves: we surface mistakes early, while they are still small and cheap to fix.
A pace we can keep
Tired people ship bugs into other people’s production, and nobody does their best thinking on four hours of sleep. We work at a pace we could hold for years, not weeks. There are no medals here for late nights, and we mean that.
Write it down
We are spread across time zones, so a good doc beats a meeting almost every time. Write something once and a teammate three zones over can pick it up tomorrow, no waiting for you to wake up. We still meet when a real conversation is faster. Just not by default.
How we take care of the team
Nothing exotic. The basics, done properly, so the work is the interesting part.
Work from wherever you are
Fully remote, and we mean it. The company has never had a mandatory office and is not planning one. Pick the setup and hours that let you do your best work.
A real home-office budget
A stipend for the desk, chair, monitor, and machine you want. Choose your own laptop. We would rather you be comfortable than fight your tools.
Few meetings, deep focus
Most of the week is heads-down. We keep the standing-meeting count low and protect long stretches of maker time.
Time off people actually take
Paid vacation with a floor, not just a ceiling, plus the local public holidays wherever you live. If you are burnt out, that is our problem to fix, not yours to hide.
Build for the edge
The whole stack runs on Cloudflare Workers, D1, KV, and Durable Objects. If you want to work close to the metal on a global network, this is a good place to do it.
Open positions
Nothing open right now
We hire slowly and only when a gap is real, so most of the time this list is empty. This is the first place new roles get posted. If you are curious about ShipSilently, check back here from time to time.
